Crummy

I don't know if it is the weather or what, but I have been feeling so crummy today. I feel mumbly, grumbly, and all around grouchy. Poor Kyle is bored, and wants to play, play, play, but I am just not in the mood! I actually turned on the TV and let him watch it this morning because I just didn't feel like dealing with anything more than that. I don't do that very often, but every time I do it I feel like the worst parent in the world!
Right now he is at my feet singing "Tow away, tow away, towey tow tow" and is playing with his Hot Wheels cars. He is at least in a good mood!
Tomorrow I am going to the BIG FLEA in Chantilly. Hopefully I will be able to pick up a few nice bits and bobs. I'm bummed that the entrance fee is $8.00. Last year I had a broken foot and that was no fun.
Boy, I am just a fun on a stick today!

iStock Game and Free Credits!

You can earn up to 5 free credits if you play the Spot the Hidden iStock Logo game.

I earned 4 credits while playing. See if you can beat my score!

*Hint, the instructions are on the third page of the thing, I got confused for a minute and thought I was supposed to find 4 logos in the first image *duh*

Happy New Year!

Last night at midnight instead of watching the Times Square Mayhem, Alex and I decided to play around with iMovie and Kyle's new Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board.
When we were doing the "voiceover" the dogs were getting a little riled up and playing, which is what you hear underneath my lovely singing ;)

We had a lovely Christmas. Here are a few pictures for those interested!
Our Christmas Tree was beautiful this year. The mix of white lights and strings of LED lights was perfect! (If I do say so). This was the first time in 3 years that we have been able to set up the full size tree.

We got a train for under our tree this year, and I tried out a Photoshop trick for adding some snow to the scene because it was a little warm and rainy this year in reality.

I also painted up some bird houses to put under the tree to give the train passengers something to see as they circled the tree. I added glitter snow on the top of the houses, glitter grass around the bottoms, and some glitter wreaths, icicles, and edging. I wanted them to have the feel of old time cardboard train houses, but in larger scale. I have had these three bird houses in my craft room for a while just waiting for the right project to come along!
On Christmas day we get up and have our own presents, and then we go to Alex's parents house for breakfast and another round of presents. (Alex calls this round "The Shred"). Then we head home and pack up more gifts, and the dogs and head down to my parents house for Christmas dinner and to spend the night. On Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) we wake up and have another round of Christmas. This photo of Kyle is from Boxing Day at my parents house. He was exhausted and sick, but still in the full glory of Christmas bliss!

Questions!

Kyle has been asking so many questions recently. Not just his favorite question "WHY?!" but even more complicated questions.
The day after his birthday he asked me if he was still 3. I said "Yes, until next year on your birthday you will be three" He said "Why?" I said "Because that is the day you came out of your birth mothers tummy" and he said "And then you adopted me at the airport in Korea?"
"Well, not exactly...."
So we had a little talk about his birth mommy and birth daddy, his foster family, and adoption. I really didn't expect to have that talk with him this early, but luckily I was prepared to talk about it with him. We talk about adoption a lot, but never in such detail before!
